Iron Mountain PumpIron Mountain Pump's versatility allows for a wide range of applications across industries:
  • Primary Metals
  • Coal Service
  • Non-Metalic Mining
  • Sand and Gravel
  • Power & Utility Slurry Services
  • Wet Process Cement Plants
  • General Industrial Applications

Our pumps are designed to handle severe slurries; in fact they are so tough, they can handle:

  • Capacities through 9000 GPM (2045 m3/hr)
  • Heads to 350 Feet (107 m) and 950 BHP
  • Temperatures to 180 F (70 C)

Iron Mountain pumps come in a wide range of sizes and a variety of models to meet your specific needs. Our pumps have many special features, including:

External Impeller Adjustments - Original performance easily maintained by adjusting the jacking screws without disassembly of the pump

Impeller Release Collar - Allows ease of impeller removal.  Removing the collar releases the pressure on the sleeve and o-ring between the impeller.

Rugged Shaft - Large diameter shaft designed to handle high loads and reduce shaft deflection. It is made from heat treated alloy steel and rated for continuous service under the most severe operating conditions.

Heavy Duty Bearing Frame - Strong two piece design with horizontal split to allow for ease of maintenance.  Large oil sump and oil sump cooling is standard on most sizes.

Volute & Wear Plates - The volute and wear plates are available in a range of hard alloy materials to maximize wear and corrosion resistance.

Impeller - The SPL and SPH pumps have large diameter impellers, allowing higher heads at lower operating speeds. The vanes have a twist which improves efficiency over straight vane design.  Extra thickness at the tips provided extended wear life.

The Iron Mountain SPH and SPL pumps are heavy duty, end suction centrifugal pumps, designed for pumping abrasive and corrosive slurries. They are widely used in mining, power, coal and other industrial pumping applications. The pumps are single stage, single suction, frame mounted, overhung design horizontal centrifugal pumps.
